Charity Abseil At Mosal Trail Derbyshire
We set out on Saturday for an exciting day for some and a terrifying day for others. There were only 8 of us to abseil that day a little disappointing but we had all raised money for the event. Taking a few minor detours on route and one wrong location we arrived and met up with our instructors from rock and ice, Richard Dan and Trish
First to go was Tracey (AKA legit) a little scared she went over the top and down well done Tracey!!!!!!!
Second to go was little Reece like a ferret up a drainpipe off he went. Well done little man!!!!!!!
Third was big Scott. Well what can we say? He was petrified but he had promised Ant he would do it. After a tenuous 10 minutes whilst he got over the barrier and set himself up to go off he went. Now was it fear or exhilaration that made him scream all the way down (he says asthma lol) but down to terra ferma he went. Well done Scott!!!!!!!
Fourth to go was Malc, very nervous yet he done it before and had “climbed trees higher”. So Dressed as a lion over the top he went and straight down Well Done Malc !!!!!!!
Fifth was tin man Lee, you’ve never seen anyone so petrified. He took his time getting over the railing only to grip it so hard his knuckles went white. ........... A long pause whilst he got over the edge then off he went. He seemed to have caught Scotts wailing as he got to the drop off the bridge. Whoops he hit the bridge but carried on. As soon as he reached the floor he had to be assisted as his legs were jelly then it was time to vomit.... Well Done Lee !!!!!!!
Little Scott was next having seen his dad go he just couldn’t chicken out so over the top he went and gone in 60 seconds well done Scott !!!!!!!
John John Was the penultimate one down and having done an abseil before had no problem well done John John !!!!!!!
And last was me over and down (being told to slow down on the way) Well done me !!!!!!
Oh wait here comes Pete with Deanna and Caitlin, Deanna’s keen, no she’s not , yes she is..... Ok get the kit back out. Over she goes and 3 2 1 down she abseils well done Deanna !!!!!!!
